This parish is named after a prehistoric fort, known as The Copa do Castro, It has been prepared for the delight of visitors by the Association of O Castro, with a footpath, tables and information panels.
The Romanesque 12th century parish church has interesting corbels and symbols, metopes, which are very relevant, recorded on one side of the church, typical of other churches of the same style. It is part of the Romanesque Route. In this parish is Silleda railway station, also notable for its construction based on the Galician palace. |
